Mar 15, 2014 · Vanguard offers "extended hours" trading from 4:30-5:30 or 6:00. Orders placed at that time are only for stocks / ETFs and must be placed as limit orders. AFAIK, they expire at end of the trading window. Orders placed after that time will trade at the next opening cross, or at the end of the next day for mutual fund orders.
