If the pump doesn't run for about 3 seconds when you cycle the key on, then you need to find out why. Sometimes it's just a faulty relay or a bad connection. From there it should hold pressure and the pump should run while cranking to keep pressure to the system. Afterwards no start or warning lights that you usually get with switch on. The only thing that appears to be getting power is the fuel pump.
