The Hydro's (oil filled) are better "softer" riding than the Nitro (gas charged) "stiffer" shock. Went ahead and used the Rough Country N3 shocks, because the 5100's I had weren't long enough for the lift I added. The N3's are better than stock, but I miss the 5100's.
