Correctional Officer (Former Employee) - Lebanon, OH - July 6, 2022. The state benefits DON'T out weigh the poor management structure and the lack of backup in the prison. The higher ranked individuals and the inmates do everything to make your life miserable. As of writing this, the institution is 110+ people short between 1st and 2nd shift.
Management at Alexander Correctional is by far the WORST I've worked for in my lifetime. If they have the goal of terminating an Officer, once that goal has been met, they will include unbelievably adverse statements in your "public record" dismissal letter. This makes finding another job close to impossible.
