The only time I wished for more power than the 550F was this last winter. The snow was very deep. There has been a number of guys on here that have said there isn't a noticeable difference between Gen 4 & Gen 5 in the trail models. I think the Gen 5 in the Summit and Freeride is where there has been significant improvements. I have seen a lot of good reviews of the Gen 5 in the Deep Snow.
