I don't think "vintage" vs. "Modern" is a date, but rather depends on design. It is a model ASOL200, Intermediate level saxophone. List price new at $3,079, but usually selling new between $2,200 and $3,000 around several dealers across the nation. Apparently it is semi-true that the LaVoix Saxophones replaced that model, but the Soloist has the "Big Bell" on it..
